We are an experienced chamber choir of around 24 singers, specialising in European Renaissance choral music, sung largely un-accompanied.
We rehearse in Liverpool city centre during term-time, and regularly perform across Merseyside and North Wales.
We give around 6-8 recitals per year, with our three main concerts at Christmas, Easter and in the early summer.
We love sharing our passion for Renaissance music, with performances of depth and expression.
We are always keen to welcome new choir members across all voice parts (soprano, alto, tenor and bass) and are currently recruiting singers. If you are interested in joining the choir or wish to find out more about us, please email the choir (renaissancesingersliverpool@gmail.com) to express your interest in joining.
2025 is the 60th Anniversary Year of the choir, which was started in 1965 as the Renaissance Music Group - see 'About us' for more on the history of the choir.
The choir next meets for rehearsal on Saturday 13th September to sing-through the Christmas programme (5.30-7.30pm) before going for an anniversary celebration meal together. We will hold an open rehearsal on Wednesday 17th September for anyone thinking of joining us - do let us know you'll be singing with us at the open rehearsal by emailing (renaissancesingersliverpool@gmail.com) so we know to expect you. Our Christmas concert is scheduled for Saturday 6th December.
